The cabinet agrees to lift the travel ban on travelers from Nigeria.
Confirmation of this comes from Health Minister, Dr Fuad Khan.
Earlier this week the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the African country is free of the deadly Ebola virus that has killed nearly 5,000 people.
Last week, Trinidad and Tobago joined several Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries in banning nationals from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea from entering the country because of the Ebola virus, for which there is no known cure.
Speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at San Fernando Teaching Hospital on Wednesday, Minister Khan confirmed the decision was taken following the latest update from the W.H.O.
Minister Khan also this country has also decided to contribute financially to the Multi- Partner Trust Fund started by the United Nations Secretary General in September to help efforts in West Africa.
