A call has been made for more parents and guardians to take an active interest in the education of the youth, and support their loved ones who are a part of the education system.
National Parent Teachers Association President, Zena Ramatali, in a News Power Now interview said it is critical that citizens get involved in activities of the PTA.
Recently a 13 year old student was charged with arson at a Central Secondary School. Ms Ramatali said this approach is necessary at a time when the nation’s young people are faced with varying challenges.
She said the NPTA stands ready to works with schools willing to set up such a structure.
