Calls for a National Policy to Address Indiscipline and Violence in Schools.

There is a suggestion that a national policy be developed to address indiscipline and violence in schools. The recommendation comes from the National Parent Teachers Association.

President of the Association, Zena Rematali, speaking with the media this week cited the need for greater emphasis on parenting.

Ms Ramatali also proposed the setting up of proper programmes in the education system to help rehabilitate delinquent students.

National Parent Teachers Association President of the Association, Zena Rematali. On Tuesday following a visit to the El Dorado East Secondary School Education Minister, Anthony Garcia, told reporters he was informed of indiscipline problems at institution.

However, Minister Garcia made it clear that deviant behavior will not be tolerated and students who are bent on causing trouble will be dealt with.
