The Police Social and Welfare Association is in support of a detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding the controversial police killing of Naim Dean.
There are conflicting reports regarding the death of the 21 year old man in Glencoe on Friday night.
Relatives claim Dean was shot in his back while running away from officers.
However, the officers are giving a different report on the incident.
The Movement for Social Justice in a statement over the weekend insisted the Police Complaints Authority must thoroughly probe the shooting to ensure there is no cover up.
Police Social and Welfare Association President, Inspector Anand Ramesar , in an interview said it is important that the investigation into this matter is transparent.
