Carnival 2015 May not occur or be postponed if the Ebola virus becomes pandemic.
The National Carnival Commission (NCC) Chairman Allison Dumas announced that the body is considering in a bid to protect revelers.
She added that the threat of an Ebola outbreak is a becoming a reality every day.
Ms. Dumas disclosed the NCC is looking at ways in which they can respond.
I have always been proud to be a Trinidadian, but lately I have bin disappointed with the governments decision on carnival and the ebola virus , what is wrong with you people why is it so hard to cancel carnival what (Money) $$$$? I thought the welfare of the people came first. Are you really willing to deliberately infect people for two days of fun and $$$$. Carnival is the best time for ebola you can’t get more personal than that people bumping and whining on each other ,Ebola will spread like wildfire. Please please please i’m begging please cancel carnival if you have the people’s interest at heart.
Oh God people this thing serious ban it for 2015 nah.Carnival is really a nationwide street party.Ebola is a worldwide epidemic.
The PP Government should put in place measures to Screen people entering the Airports in both Trinidad and Tobago, instead of cancelling Carnival. Taxpayers dollars should be spent to protect the citizens of the twin island republic.
The Ebola virus takes 21 days to show up in test so if someone comes into the country and it hasn’t taken effect yet it will be a sad story its better to be safe than sorry!!!
What do u do before n after carnival? The same precusions u use during non-carnival seasons is the same u use during carnival season.
if it were a trini who had this virus ..we would not b able to enter anyone’s country …i say cancel carnival ,,,we don’t have the proper resauces to treat chicken gunia muchless Ebola …come on ppl when u go out there and jump up u r coming home to ur kids and ur kids has to go to school around other kids …come on now use ur brains for once a gd time or ur life
