Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Water and Sewage Authority, Romney Thomas, tells a Joint Select Committee that there is need to address old infrastructure at the utility but the availability of funding is a challenge.

Mr. Thomas admits that WASA’s reliance on the state is heavy but assured that the utility will do what is required to ensure that customers do not face high rates.

Meanwhile, Director of Customer Care at WASA, Alan Poon King, said the utility is streamlining its operations to better serve customers.
