The roof of an unoccupied building on the compound of the Children’s Authority’s head office has been damaged by adverse weather conditions experienced on Tuesday.
A media release issued by the authority explained that part of the rook had blown off and a vehicle that had been parked on the compound also sustained damage as a result of a fallen tree.
The Children’s Authority further disclosed that its main building located on Wrightson Road in Port- of- Spain, was not affected.
As a precautionary measure, staff members were temporarily relocated to facilitate an assessment of the damages on the compound. No risk to staff members’ health and safety were identified.
