An assurance that measures will be put in place to prevent an abuse of the Children’s Life Fund.
The fund is a concept of the former People’s Partnership government and was launched in August 2010.
It was created to provide funding and critical support specifically for children needing lifesaving, tertiary-level health care services.
Speaking at a media briefing at the parliament, Finance Minister, Colm Imbert, said government will also tackle discrepancies in the venture.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar, has welcomed news on an audit into the Children’s Life Fund.
However, speaking at a media briefing this week, Mrs Persad Bissessar expressed concern on whether the fund will be stopped until the audit is completed.
