The Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister and MP for Tobago East  Ayanna Webster-Roy has lashed out at parents who she says have proven ineffective in properly supervising their children online. The comment, posted by the Minister on her Facebook page, exposed a situation involving classmates of her daughters who streamed pornographic content during remote learning activity.

The Minister is calling on parents to do better when it comes to supervising their children’s online activity. She noted that it was uncertain as to whether the content streamed was done so purposely or accidentally. She further urged parents to teach their children the importance of respecting the privilege of online learning.
