The Claxton Bay Fishing Association is warning consumers yes there could be an increase in the price of fish due to the decision of security officials to place more communities indentified as crime hot spots under the 11pm to 4am curfew as the state of emergency runs to December.

President of the association, Kishore Boodram in a News Power Authority interview this afternoon explained many persons involved in fishing ply their trade late at night and make large catch during that period.

However, with the curfew added to more areas it is expected that the catch will not be significant as before since persons in the sector would have to make adjustments.

Mr. Boodram also called on fish vendors to be responsible in their action and desist from charging consumers ridiculous prices.
