CMO says plans in place to deal with Ebola Virus

COLIN FURLONGEChief Medical Officer of the Ministry of Health Dr. Colin Furlonge has revealed that here has been collaboration between the various
authorities to ensure that persons who are infected with Ebola do not arrive in the country.

He explained that the virus was not air borne, and could only be contracted through direct contact with the bodily fluids of someone
who already has the virus.

In terms of what has been proposed for the Caura Hospital and the Equipment that is expected to come into the country Dr. Furlonge
said that the authorities were looking at several alternatives.

Dr. Furlonge also revealed that while the world trend suggested that the Ebola outbreak had become a serious issue, there were still
processes through which one had to go in order to secure needed equipment.
