Chief Medical Officer Dr. Colin Furlonge has reportedly indicated that he would fly to West Africa.

He has volunteered to do so, to see first-hand how nations afflicted with the Ebola virus are managing the care of patients, and are containing the spread of the disease.

Furlonge is likely to be accompanied by at least one other member of the Ebola Medical Response Team and Ebola Prevention, Information and Response Team (EPIRT), or more, if others volunteer to travel to West Africa.

Minister of Health Dr. Fuad Khan, in an interview with News Power Now, revealed that he was impressed with Dr. Furlonge’s decision to go to West Africa.

He also had a suggestion on who could accompany him.

Dr. Colin Furlonge I am a Trinidadian with a PhD in Public Health and am suggesting that you should return to college because there is where you belong.I am flabbergasted when you stated that you don’t have to order anymore HIV medication because you have enough. I am suggesting that you really don’t know anything about HIV/HCV.Let me inform you there is no such word as “TO MUCH”You are not addressing HIV/HCV e.g. continous medication clinics and education for clients. I haave worked with HIV.HCV for many years and T’dad has noprogram in place therefore the virus would continue to spread.I would advise you to educate yourself first, have clinics in every boundary, give literature and condoms to clients, and medical checkups. Am ashamed that you have not addressed anything about HIV/HCV.Where did you get your license did you buy it or manufacture it.There is’nt anything in place for the virus so stop fooling yourself. It is medication, free condoms workshops, and monthly patient’s visits. Trinidad have quack doctors, in my days you had doctors who did not buy degrees and were knowledgeable.
