Chief Medical Officer Dr. Colin Furlonge has reportedly indicated that he would fly to West Africa.
He has volunteered to do so, to see first-hand how nations afflicted with the Ebola virus are managing the care of patients, and are containing the spread of the disease.
Furlonge is likely to be accompanied by at least one other member of the Ebola Medical Response Team and Ebola Prevention, Information and Response Team (EPIRT), or more, if others volunteer to travel to West Africa.
Minister of Health Dr. Fuad Khan, in an interview with News Power Now, revealed that he was impressed with Dr. Furlonge’s decision to go to West Africa.
He also had a suggestion on who could accompany him.
Dr. Khan also suggested another individual he felt could accompany the Dr. Furlonge in his travel to the Ebola inflicted West Africa.
Dr. Khan disclosed that there were many advantages to be derived from a visit to West Africa.
