Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard officials who intercepted a Venezuelan vessel carrying 32 persons , on Wednesday, may now have to be quarantined. The revelation was made on Wednesday by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Roshan Parasram.

Dr. Parasram said the Venezuelans would have to be assessed, noting the health risk imposed. The Venezuelans, according to reports, had been aboard a sinking pirogue.

According to reports, the Venezuelan nationals had been exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
