In response to Dwayne Eastman’s allegations, Public Relations Officer for the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) Lt. Commander Kirk Jean Baptiste stated that the focus was on locating the lost fisherman.
And a search was mounted to track down the fishing vessel.
Jean Baptiste claimed an urgent Marine Information Broadcast was sent out to all vessels to be on the look-out for the missing fisherman.
