Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, has set an initial target of reducing murders to under two hundred annually which he sees as an attainable target.

Speaking at a forum at the University of the West Indies Department of Political Science on Thursday, Commissioner Griffith said he will do what is necessary to transform the police service in terms of Operations Intelligence gathering, training and accountability.

the Commissioner also focused on the importance of continuous polygraph testing for officers as they submit to this test upon entering the service, however, in many cases they refuse once within the service.
