On April 2nd, 2020, some 19,363 students will take the Secondary Entrance Assessment Exam. The announcement was made by the Education Ministry today. According to the Education Minister, Anthony Garcia, the number of persons sitting the exam this year, could be the highest in the last decade.
The minister also revealed that there would be a near even number of boys and girls taking the exam. “Of those children writing the exam, 9 772 are boys while 9 551 students are girls. So you see this year the boys out number the girls, but not by too many,” he said.
The three-component exam will feature a 50-minute-long Creative Writing paper, a 75-minute Mathematics paper and a 75-minute Language Arts paper.
