The government has decided not to continue with the Community Comfort Patrol initiative which was started by the former coalition administration.

Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister, Dennis Moses, made the revelation in the Senate this afternoon as he answered a question posed to National Security Minister Edmund Dillon.

However, Minister Moses said in spite of the decision to halt the CCP venture several measures have been taken to ensure the fight against crime is strengthened and sustained.

Minister Moses added that emphasis will still be placed on building positive community spirit, togetherness and unity.
