A decision by the Ministry of Education to house the Arima Hindu Primary School at the former compound of the Arima New Government Primary School has been condemned by the Borough’s Mayor George Hadeed.
The building which the Hindu school occupied was condemned by the Ministry of Health recently.
Mayor Hadeed has called for the empty building to be given to Arima Central Secondary School which has been housing students in cramped conditions.
He said if this decision goes ahead it would be unfair for the students of the secondary school.
Mayor Hadeed proposed that Arima Hindu Primary School be housed at a Community Centre.
