Contingency Measures In Place At Eastern Hospital Amid Employee Walk Out, Assures Health Minister

The public is being assured that contingency measures have been put in place to address any possible shortage in human resources at the Sangre Grande hospital amid reports of industrial action by workers.

The Public Services Association claims there are health and safety challenges at the eastern medical facility.

Health Minister, Dr. Fuad Khan, speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing today, assured that steps will be taken to ensure medical care at the hospital is not compromised.

Dr. Khan said the Ministry will also seek to get additional medical personnel to provide coverage at the Sangre-Grande hospital.
