All eyes are expected to focus on the Senate today, as the Constitution Amendment Bill will be debated.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is scheduled to lead off debate on the amendments which need to support of at least one Independent Senator to pass.
The Bill was passed in the Lower House on August 12.
The proposed amendments are two term limits for Prime Ministers, the right to recall under performing MPs and a runoff vote in constituencies where a candidate does not win more than 50 percent.
