The country’s low detection rate in the fight against crime has been highlighted by Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley.
The People’s National Movement Political Leader has admitted that there is need for improvement in this area.
Dr. Rowley made the comments during the PNM’s special convention, held a the St John’s Ambulance Brigade Headquarters in Port of Spain, on Sunday.
Commenting on murders so far this year which stands at 122 the Prime Minister described it as unacceptable.
He called for the development not to be used to score political points.
