One man is hospitalized, four others arrested and a pistol and a quantity of ammunition seized, following a police-involved shooting incident at La Horquetta.

The shooting occurred during an anti-crime exercise conducted by officers of the La Horquetta Police Station and Maloney CID between 8:45pm and 12:00am, on Wednesday in the La Horquetta district.

A pistol and a magazine containing 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, which was in the possession of the suspect, was subsequently seized.

Further searches of the basketball court, resulted in four rounds 9mm of ammunition and two grammes of marijuana being discovered.

Four other suspects; two 26-year-olds, a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old, all of Phase Seven, La Horquetta, were arrested in connection with the finds.
