joseph-remyThe loss of jobs in the Trinidad and Tobago economy is at a critical juncture.

This is the view of President of the Communication Workers Union, Joseph Remy.

In an interview yesterday he revealed recently that he’s concerned that another international company, this time Repsol is inviting workers to apply for Voluntary Separation.

He maintains that Government’s response to the continued loss of jobs have been slow.

He compared the Repsol case with the English case where Government there intervened to save their iron industry.

He noted that the national tripartite forum has not been invested in properly as a real solution to the problem.
