A difference of opinion following the submission of Lynette Seeberan Suite, at yesterday’s sitting of the Commission of enquiry into Colonial Life Insurance Company Trinidad Limited, and the Hindu Credit Union.
Seeberan Suite, who is representing the Clico Policyholders Group used her submission time to focus mainly on the bail- out measures put in place by the Peoples Partnership Government, of which she said were unsatisfactory and worked against policyholders….
She said policyholders were belittled by Government.
Ms. Suite also questioned how blame could be laid on policyholders.
She also recalled how the Finance Minister refused to honour the promise of the former PNM government.
Her 50 minute submission was eventually shot down, and described as irrelevant to the terms and condition of the already strained Enquiry.
But Suite made it clear the main objective of the enquiry was for the benefit of the policyholders Group.
