Don’t blame us blame yourself.

That’s the comments coming from President of the Trinidad and Tobago Social and Welfare Association (TTPSSWA) Inspector Michael Seales.

Over the weekend Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley revealed that he heard the cries of the population and he plans to take decisive action on the issue of crime.

He was addressing the People’s National Movement’s (PNM) 46th Annual Convention and launch of the party’s 2016 Local Government Elections campaign at the Queen’s Park Savannah yesterday.

He said there was too much confusion, too much dysfunctionality and outright failure within the police service.

However, speaking with News Power this morning Inspector Seales revealed that the only person to blame for any failures within the police service is the Government.

PoS 2Dr. Rowley stated that he would take a direct interest in overseeing a comprehensive review of the way in which Community Policing functions are introduced within the Police Service.

Inspector Seales said that the Association thinks the crime plans articulated by the Prime Minister is strange.

He revealed that as the major stakeholder in law enforcement there was a need for them to be informed of what was taking place.
