Education Minister, Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, is in support of the decision by Caribbean Examination Council to introduce five new non -traditional subjects at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination level.
The new subjects that will be offered at CAPE are Agricultural Science, Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Performing Arts, Physical Education and Sports.
Dr. Gopeesingh made the announcement at Thursday’s launch of the new Generation of CAPE Subjects.
The event took place at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, West moorings.
He said the news subject provides an opportunity to empower students beyond the classroom.
