Environmental activist, Dr Wayne Kublalsingh is lamenting the impact of global warming right here in Trinidad and Tobago.
He made the link while speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1 FM as part of the station’s “In Focus” topic which centres on the massive flooding which took place throughout the country several weeks ago.
Dr Kublalsingh, during his contribution on the issue, said he believes the incident was not just a one-off situation.
The environmentalist asserted that this was caused in part by global warming and added that he believes it is a situation that could reoccur as often as once every year.
Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat also noted the increase in the frequency of floods in the country.
He added that citizens now need to accept that increased flooding has become a reality.
