The Amalgamated Workers Union is appealing for corrective action to be taken following the marijuana find at the Port- of- Spain City Corporation Transport Yard on Mucurapo Road.

Reports say last week Wednesday officers attached to the Port of Spain City Municipal Police Division found 410 grammes of marijuana together with a grinder at the location.

The officers along with members of the Port- of- Spain Task Force of the TTPS conducted a sting operation and discovered the substance valued at $15,000.

Senior Superintendent Glenn Charles said a thorough investigation is ongoing.

Speaking with News Power Now in an interview this afternoon A.W.U. President, Michael Prentice, said the situation points to the need for urgent action.
