The driver of the car which struck and killed mother of four Denyse Seepersad-Joseph on Independence Day is expected to appear in the Traffic Court Tuesday morning.
He has been charged with drunk driving.
The 44-year-old man from Palmyra who remained in police custody up to yesterday, allegedly consumed so much alcohol that he exceeded the legal limit.
On Saturday night, 39 year old Seepersad-Joseph of New Grant, went to visit relatives and, while taking her four-year-old daughter, Abigail, out of her car, the homemaker was hit by a yellow Nissan Laurel.
Seepersad-Joseph died at the scene.
Her four children reportedly witnessed her death.
An autopsy showed she died as a result of Blunt Crano Cerebral Trauma.
