Predictions made by Economist, Indera Sagewan-Alli suggest that Trinidad and Tobago is in a dire state regarding finances and the economy.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast show on Power 102.1fm this morning, Sagewan-Alli said in light of the mid-year Budget review which is to be presented tomorrow by the Finance Minister, shows no signs of progress or hope.
Sagewan-Alli said several business sectors will be looking closely at what cuts will be made as well as how the Government will address the issue of its expenditure from the start of the fiscal year.
When asked about her thoughts on how past and present Governments dealt with proper diversification of the country, Sagewan-Alli said too much emphasis was placed on only oil and gas, when the country has many other resources to rely on for revenue.
