Issues not addressed 54 years ago are the foundation for the country’s current crime problem, this according to Economist Dr. Ronald Ramkissoon.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast show on Power 102.1fm, Dr. Ramkissoon said crime cannot be solved by one person, nor can the Minister of National Security, Major General (Ret’d) Edmund Dillon put an abrupt end to the current social problems.
Dr. Ramkisson also said lack of jobs and a loss sense of hope are some of the major reasons why individuals turn to a life of crime.
Shedding light on whether or not a cabinet reshuffle will make a difference in turning around the country, Dr. Ramkissoon said the general public has to ensure that all Ministers do their jobs, which he says will reflect good leadership.
Economist Dr. Ronald Ramkissoon is of the firm be that now is the time for action and less talk to take T&T forward.
