The Ministry of education has embarked on a National Schools’ Clean-up Campaign.
Education Minster Dr. Tim Gopeesingh toured several schools in Central yesterday in keeping with the campaign.
During his visit to the Chaguanas North Secondary School Dr. Gopeesingh expressed his disappointment with the maintenance of schools by the National Maintenance Training and Security Company limited (MTS).
Dr. Gopeesingh said the Campaign themed “Educate, Participate, Eradicate” is geared towards providing a cleaner and safer learning environment for both students and staff.
He went on to say that the campaign is voluntary and noted that several contractors have offered their services.
He further stated that students and staff can offer their assistance.
