Elections and Boundaries Commission advises citizens to update their registration records before September 7th General Elections

voting2The Elections and Boundaries Commission says Thursday July 23rd is the last day that citizens will be able to update their registration records before the September 7th General Elections. EBC explains that the Electoral Registration has commenced in all 41 Parliamentary Electoral Districts.

It says electors will have the opportunity to regularize their registration status with the EBC.

The Commission adds that the Electoral Registration process is to facilitate those persons who have: attained the age of 18 years and over but have not been registered as electors; been registered as electors but have changed their address and not informed the Registration Officer of such; been registered as electors and have changed their names because of marriage or otherwise, but their previous names still appear on the Preliminary List of Electors.
