According to reports, the officers allegedly used hot water to scald a man who had turned himself in, for questioning into matters of housebreaking and larceny. The incident is alleged to have occurred on February 25th.
Reports allege that the man was burnt with hot water on the lower part of his body after being stripped by the officers at the Sangre Grande Police Station.
He was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex as a result of the severity of the burns.
Among those arrested were an acting inspector, a sergeant, an SRP sergeant, three acting corporals and six police constables (including one WPC).
