Energy Minister says spending cuts coming to counter drop in oil price

The recent drop in oil prices has made it necessary to cut expenditure in several areas.

This is according to the Minster of Energy and Energy Affairs Kevin Ramnarine.

While the Minister did not reveal which areas would be targeted, he asked that citizens not press the panic button just yet.

However he warned that the population should be more concerned with its spending habits.

Minister Ramnarine also disclosed that the Government produced 81 Thousand barrel of oil a day and fully expected to see an increase in oil production in 2015
