The Trinidad and Tobago Council of Evangelical Churches says it views with alarm the hosting of a fashion show at the Trinity Cathedral last week.

It explains that the allowance of use of the altar of God, as a fashion runway is a desecration of a sacred place, as the house of God is a place of worship and of prayer, and therefore, ought not to be used for any other purpose.

Speaking with News Power Now, President of the Council of Evangelical Churches, Rev. Desmond Austin, said the event was in contravention of the word of God.

He said although times have changed as well as the actions of people, God and His values remain constant.

Here’s a look at some of the carnival costumes portrayed recently, at the Anglican cathedral.
