The Attorney General indicates that extensive background checks will be done on returning nationals involved with terrorist groups.
Earlier this week the United States issued a worldwide travel alert until February 24th 2016 for its citizens in response to “increased terrorist threats”.
The state department said “current information” suggested the Islamic State [IS] group, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and others continued “to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions”.
Faris Al-Rawi speaking this week a meeting of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force said that collaboration will be regional and international in this area.
Mr. Al Rawi also revealed that the state in the High Court filed an application to seize the assets of a national overseas who is suspected of being involved in terrorism.
