Family homeless after fire

generic fireA fire at Mason Hall Tobago has left a mother and her 15 year old daughter homeless.

The blaze reportedly took place on Saturday around 7pm.

Reports say the three bedroom house belonging to 36 year old , Salisha Edwards, was completely destroyed.

Fire officials are continuing their investigations.

Meanwhile, Tobago Emergency Management Agency Director , Allan Stewart, in a News Power Now interview yesterday said efforts have started to provide relief to the affected persons.

Mr. Stewart explained in recent times officials have noticed an increase in the number of residential fires on the island.

He called on Tobagonians to be vigilant and comply with building and electrical guidelines and regulations.
