In the sister island’s first murder for the year, Tobago police are continuing investigations into the death of a 30-year-old father of two on Friday night.
According to reports, at around 10 p.m. Zaquius Daniel was liming at Live Wire Pub in Lambeau Tobago, when he got into an altercation with a group of men.
A fight ensued, and Daniel, an employee with the Tobago House of Assembly Division of Infrastructure, was stabbed in the neck and beaten with bottles and stones.
He subsequently died.
A Trinidadian man has been assisting Tobago police in their investigation into the murder, and remained in police custody up to last night.
