Fire Officers have complained that nothing has been done to address a rat infestation problem at the fire services headquarters on Wrightson Road in Port of Spain.
The officers say this has been a problem for some 20 years.
They claim that in 2012 a private firm was called in to deal with the issue however the problem still persists.
The president of the Fire Services Association of Trinidad and Tobago leo Ramkissoon says that the situation needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
He said that the onus is on the Chief Fire Officer to ensure that he treats with the situation.
