There is an assurance that concerns raised again about the availability and reliability of foreign exchange will be addressed.
Recently the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association said its members continue to experience severe problems accessing United States currency.
In a statement the TTMA said it met with the relevant authorities in an effort to address the problem, and despite assurances of a speedy resolution, surveys within the membership have shown that the problem persists for most companies and in some cases have worsened.
However, Trade Industry and Investment Minister, Vasant Bharath, in an interview on the matter noted that the concerns raised will be addressed.
