The Foreign Used Car Dealers Association is suggesting to the government that consultation start soon between both sides on the sector.
Recently government defended its decision to change the age of importation of cars into the country from six to four years.
However, some dealers in the sector are complaining that the measures have put a strain on their operations.
They are claiming that the move has forced them to close their operations or reduce their staff.
Association President, Visham Babwah, claims that critical developments in the industry have put pressure on dealers.
Speaking with News Power Now, Mr Babwah proposed that meaningful dialogue between the relevant ministry and dealers to meet common ground on important matters.
