Newly-appointed Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi has until today to sign the Authority to proceed in the extradition matter against former FIFA Vice-President and ILP Political Leader, Jack Warner.
The matter comes up for hearing Warner at the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court on September 21 and should Attorney General Al-Rawi fail to sign, this could result in Mr. Warner being able to be freed on the matter.
Former Attorney General Garvin Nicholas was expected to sign the Authority to proceed before leaving office following the 2015 general elections.
