Former Head of the Public Service, Reginald Dumas, is suggesting that there be a review of the performance of state agencies by a group of specially selected persons.
He made the suggestion while being interviewed on the In Focus Programme here on Power 102.1FM on Wednesday afternoon.
The programme looked at the management and operations of state enterprises.
Mr. Dumas said the evaluation of state agencies is necessary because it determines what appropriate decisions or moves should be made relating to relevance, viability and other areas of their operations.
Mr. Dumas, also commenting on the process of appointing persons to state boards, gave some advice on how the system can be improved.
