Former LifeSport coordinator released on bail

NewsFormer Life Sport programme co-ordinator Rajaee Ali was granted $25,000 bail when he appeared in the Arima Magistrate’s Court charged with possession of wild meat.

Ali, together with Roget Boucher, 29, and Kevan Modeste, 33, were arrested on Saturday after police found a lappe’s carcass in their vehicle.

The three were charged for having the protected animal and granted $25,000 bail each.

Boucher faced two additional charges for driving without a valid permit and insurance.

He pleaded guilty to the additional charges and was fined $3,500 dollars

The men are to re-appear in court on August 29.
