Former Minister of National Security, Captain Gary Griffith is urging the Government to find different ways to prevent nationals from re-entering the country who left for ISIS.

Speaking on the Power Breakfast show this morning, Captain Griffith said it is impossible to prevent citizens from leaving T&T to join Islamic forces in Syria and other Middle Eastern countries.

Griffith now suggests that no returning national be given the opportunity to re-enter and pick up life as normal.

    The mighty Trinifeak 2 years

As a former minister Griffith lacks some legal knowledge.Any country is supposed to allow their citzen reentry of their country of citizenship. However, those who were away for more than 6 weeks in a country like Syria or Irak are suspects of participation in terrorists actions.Once there is enough evidence against these people they should get a penalty of hard labour between 6 month and 10 years. Of course the law has to be amended accordingly. This is something Captain Griffith should know.
