Former Tourism Minister says Bourdain documentary may work in T&T’s favour

Former Tourism Minister Stephen Cadiz

While many people across Trinidad and Tobago have been up in arms over the recent documentary showcase of the country on CNN’s Parts Unknown by Anthony Bourdain, one former Tourism Minister says from a Tourism standpoint, the fact that various elements of T&T’s culture were highlighted, is a good thing.

Former Minister of Tourism, Stephen Cadiz, speaking with News Power Now on the hot topic said the documentary will likely be viewed in a different way, by a traveller, than how it is being dissected and analyzed by nationals of this country.

The former minister said the crime situation in Trinidad and Tobago is globally recognized and reminded citizens that several embassies and diplomatic missions have established advisories for their citizens when traveling to T&T.
