Government continues to assess the state’s subsidy on fuel.
In the past concerns have been raised about the climbing cost to finance the fuel subsidy.
There is also a move to increase the number of vehicles using Compressed Natural Gas which has been described by experts as more environmental friendly.
National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago will also invest just over two billion dollars over a five year period to assist in vehicle conversion as well as to increase the number of CNG stations nationwide.
