General Secretary of the Police Social and Welfare Association says negotiation issues to be revisited after Carnival

carnival-228While many were concerned that wage negotiation issues affecting the Police service may have prevented as high police presence this Carnival, fears were abated as they turned out in their numbers.

General Secretary of the Police Social and Welfare Association Acting Inspector Michael Seales revealed that after re-evaluating their position, the officers decided to ensure that masqueraders and spectators had a safe Carnival

police-officersMr Seales also disclosed that one of the major issues for the officers was the fact that they were not properly outfitted.

He claimed that vests for the officers was one of the issues that they were going to address as soon as possible.

He stated one of the major issues lay in the negotiating process itself.
