The government awaits directives from the Director of Public Prosecutions on the Clico matter.
Recently the report from the Sir Anthony Coleman Commission of Inquiry into the collapse of Clico was presented to President Anthony Carmona.
However, speaking in the House of Representatives this afternoon, Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, revealed that at this time the findings of the report cannot be made public.
He said this is so because it contains serious allegations of wrong doing and it will be irresponsible to put in the public domain such sensitive information.
The People’s National Movement Political Leader said in a letter sent to the DPP he indicated that given widespread public interest and anticipation in Clico saga along with the report Coleman report it should be treated urgently.
Dr Rowley also told the parliament that the Finance Minister will inform the nation on critical details relating to the bailout by the state.
The Prime Minister also gave some insight into some of the findings of the report which will not have a negative impact on any investigation to be done.
